Got an email from the Christmas Card Edmodo group from a teacher who was inspired by my google street view idea. She decided to use street view and have the kids answer a few questions and post them on her blog. What a great idea! Check out her post HERE. I have truly learned to reflect on lessons I teach so that teaching and learning can improve. So, after reflecting, I think that I will need to do a better job of explaining what a street address is to my students today when I have my next group. If you didn't read my original post about this project it is HERE . The students were a bit confused when I gave them their strip of paper with the teacher name, school name, address, city, and state. I will show some addresses today on the SMARTboard and we will discuss the different parts of the address before they go to the computer. By the time I've done this lesson 3 times, hopefully I'll know how to be very clear and there will be no confusion when they go to the computers. And they will know the parts of an address!!
Reflection is so important, isn't it? It's nice that you get to refine your lessons as the day/week goes on :)
