Survey Monkey
One of the first things I did as a new ITS was to create a survey for the staff at my school. It is very important to me that I meet their particular needs/wants. I could think of no better way to find this out other than a survey. Paper and pencil surveys are o.k., but an online survey is so much more efficient. They are easy to create and send out through email. The results will be analyzed for me. So, I went to the Survey Monkey website and in no time at all I had created a survey and emailed the link to everyone. Survey Monkey is a great resource for creating surveys. It is free, but there is the option to upgrade. You can embed your survey into your blog, share a link through email, share a link on Twitter, or even add it to your facebook page. I have used surveys with students and parents in the past. Once I created a survey for my third graders so that they could decide which arctic animal we would do an in-depth study on. They loved being involved in the decision making process! Here is a link in case you want to try it out for yourself: Survey Monkey Please leave a comment and share if you have great ideas for using surveys!
