Amazing Finds at United Streaming/Discovery Ed

It never fails to amaze me at the things I stumble on by accident on United Streaming. If you don't know, United Streaming is an AMAZING site with a digital video library and other resources. Most of the videos have lesson plans with them as well. Their library is just amazing, and every time I search for one thing in particular, I seem to stumble upon other resources that are just phenomenal. You do have to have a subscription, but it is so worth it. I honestly don't know what I would do without it. It is the first place I search for resources when I'm getting ready to plan for a unit/theme/topic. Here is a list of some great resources, just type the keywords in the search box. I really wish there was a listing of all these so that I wouldn't just find things by accident. Maybe if everybody shares some of their tips/finds in the comments, we could get a kind of database of resources! That would be great!

Keywords:
Liberty's Kids - great series of social studies videos about the Revolutionary period. about 30 mins each
Rabbit Ears - great children's books, about 30 mins each
Weston Woods - great children's books from Scholastic, varying lengths
Bill Nye Stuff Happens
Bill Nye Greatest Inventions
Bill Nye Greatest Discoveries
The Magic School Bus
Reading Rainbow
Animated Hero Classics
Holiday Facts and Fun - about 15 mins, info. on holidays
