Unpack Your Adjectives!

I just had the most fun working with some of our 3rd graders! Last week in the lab we created monsters HERE. I took a picture of each one with my iphone, and using my artsonia app created a GALLERY. Today, I wanted to review adjectives with the students, so we watched the SchoolHouse Rock video Unpack Your Adjectves - just search on Youtube - and reviewed what adjectives are. Then I pulled up the gallery and each student wrote a paragraph that described their monster. Then I took them up and they took turns reading a random description and we all eliminated together on the SMARTboard the ones it couldn't be - until we were finally able to guess the correct monster. The kids loved it, and it was a fun way to practice using adjectives!
